Math Help

At the Math Forum ask Dr. Math for help with any math problem.

Math Glossary - The resource is a glossary of Mathematics words based on the WNCP, partitioned by division. The majority of words at every division will have an interactive component (JAVA or FLASH) to help illustrate the meaning of each word. In division one and two (where possible), real world pictures to illustrate each word will be included.

You can use Webmath and all of its great problem solvers.  Just type in the problem and you will be shown the steps to solve the problem.  This site also has tutorials.

Applied Mathematics 10 - This resource consists of a series of interactive lessons for Applied Mathematics 10. The lessons present concepts and problems related to: measurement, number patterns in tables, relations and functions, line segments, linear functions, and trigonometry. This resource requires the Math Reader plug-in.

The Learning Equation 11 - This resource consists of a series of interactive lessons for Pure Math 20 which present concepts and problems related to number operations, patterns, variables and equations, relations and functions, measurement, and 3-D objects and 2-D shapes. Many of the lessons contain interactive applets that provide students with the opportunity to manipulate various parameters in order to explore mathematical relationships. his resource requires the Math Reader plug-in.

The Learning Equation 12 - This resource consists of a series of interactive lessons for Pure Math 30 which present concepts and problems related to patterns, transformations, variables and equations, relations, and functions, and chance and uncertainty. Many of the lessons contain interactive applets that provide students with the opportunity to manipulate various parameters in order to explore mathematical relationships. This resource requires the Math Reader plug-in.

Pure Math 30: Explained! - This website is designed to provide students with a complete online resource that will guide them through Pure Math 30, from start to finish. With over 40 lessons spanning the entire course, the content found here can serve as a supplement to classroom learning or an alternative to correspondence modules. The lessons posted here are free for students and teachers to download.

Applied Mathematics 30 - This resource consists of a series of interactive lessons for Applied Mathematics 30. The lessons present concepts and problems related to: matrices, statistics, probability, finance, cyclic patterns, recursive and fractal patterns, vectors, and design.

Previous Diploma Exams and Answer Keys - This is a Government of Alberta website.  Scroll down to find past exams for both Pure and Applied Mathmatics 30.
